Aurélia Durand wants illustrators to be their own biggest cheerleaders — and charge more

D&AD

Since 2022 I’ve interviewed people working in the creative industries to better understand how the work happens. I tease out insights to help veterans and newbies alike learn how they might advocate for better pay, better creative practice, conditions, and more fulfilling and meaningful work.

I also contribute to the D&AD Annual, which explores how award-winning is made (from start the finish).

This work is commissioned by content editor Laura Havlin and editor Mads Chowdhury.
